Ysenia

Ysenia is an exceptionally talented 16-year-old singer-songwriter and student from the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD), recognized for embodying musical excellence and community spirit.

She was recently selected as one of the standout teen artists to participate in the landmark musical event, Keith Jackson’s Gratitude Dedicated to the Jackson Family Concert.

Ysenia earned her spot through the highly selective Connoisseur’s Choice Program, an initiative co-founded by music professional Keith Jackson (first cousin to Janet and Michael Jackson) and the non-profit IAMFORMUSIC.ORG. Supported by OUSD Music Director Emile Poree, the program is dedicated to identifying and developing gifted youth by providing mentorship with seasoned professionals and real-world experience in the arts and technology.

Her participation in this collaboration is a significant early career milestone, showcasing her promise as an artist. Ysenia’s voice will be featured on the project's upcoming CD/DVD and album release of Gratitude Dedicated to the Jackson Family, a tribute honoring legacy while investing in the future of the arts, scheduled to arrive in early 2026.
